If you are a Pocket PC or Palm user with wireless connectivity - get ready for a treat! :coffeedrink:

Google maps now providing an application to run Google maps without the java used in other software. Check it out here: http://google.com/gmm

I downloaded the .cab file to my Palm Treo 700wx and the maps rendering is simply amazing for the device. It even allows you to track your location if you have a GPS connected (via bluetooth for example), show Traffic (where available - not here in Canada though), find nearby busineses and even view a sat map.

Very, very slick - perfect for owners of devices like the Motorola Q, Palm Tre, Samsung Blackjack, etc. No word on Blackberry support though.

That is very cool! Do you know if they are supporting the Treo 650?

It should support the Treo 650 and most Palm devices... just go to the site from your mobile browser and download the PRC or HotSync install it.

Excellent! I've been using Windows Live Search on my MotoQ to do maps and find places... I'll check this out as well. It was only a matter of time for Google Maps to do this...
