Are you interested in topo maps for offroad or just street nav maps? I happen to like the National Geographic Topo software for offroad purposes.

Search the forum a little, the topic comes up frequently. If you are on a PC you may want to look at OziExplorer and TopoUSA in addition to the National Geo. Topo. All three are used by people around here. Once people get more serious about topo use in the back country they seem to gravitate to Ozi.

What have you looked at so far?
