Mods, I hope this is okay I posted it here. I figured it would get more looks but I do see this a lot!
Okay, so I currently have the stock 265/70/16 bfg rugged trails and they have 20,045 miles on them. I ordered some 265/75/16 bfg all terrain tires for $665.00 shipped (after $60 rebate) from discount tire as they price matched onlinetires.com. (I couldn't beat it!!) I didn't "need" the tires but really couldn't pass up this deal as it saved me over $200. Rebate ends June 12th!! :victory:
Well, they arrived today after ordering Monday and I immediately wanted to see how much bigger they were than the stock ones. The pics aren't the greatest but I wanted to give you all an idea. They are definitely taller than what I am currently running so I am pleased about that. I just have to decided whether I want to install these on the rims I have now or do I want to wait and find some new rims to put these on.
I took them to my dad's as he has a much bigger garage than me!

They'll be shorter when loaded. Theoretically they should be an inch taller:
30.61 (http://xepoch.com/mud/tire.cgi?w=265&a=70&r=16) vs. 31.65 (http://xepoch.com/mud/tire.cgi?w=265&a=75&r=16)
Of course, you need some steel bling (http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11131) for those fancy tires.

I still love walking up to my truck in parking lots.

Here's my quick writeup on another forum on my Limited wheels painted black:

They are holding up well with the only scratches being to the area around the lug nuts from installing and rotating.

Plus those AT's will wear better, last longer, and are way more durable than the stock Rugged Trails. Good choice!

Yeah, I have 20k on the stock trails now and they are looking pretty bad. I just couldn't pass up the deal, $665.00 (after rebate) shipped to my house.

Thats an awesome deal!
I'm running the same size in BFG KM2. These are the larges size that you will be able to get full articulation, so good choice!
Here's mine, oh and X2 on the black wheels. Looks awesome with the Magnetic Grey Taco!

Your truck looks great! What lift are you running?

Thanks,
I have DR. / ICON 2.5 coilovers in the front, and an AAL with my TSB rear springs and Walker Evans 2.0 reservoir rear shocks. Its about 3" + / - lift total.

Have you had any issues with the lift at all?

No issues once everything was torqued down correctly. :victory:

Will there be any clearance/articulations with this size tire vs the 265/70 on the stock 4x4 susp? Thank you

Really wishing mine was 4x4 right about now, especially since I need new tires...

I'm running 265/75/16s on my stock truck with no problems. I do not wheel my truck hard, just some backcountry trails and such, no hardcore wheeling, and have only had them rub once or twice. I can try to get a picture later if you want.

Great choice on the tire. I run some 33/10.50/15's on my 89 Toy and I love them.
Another advantage to using the 265/75's is that they are much more common than the OE size of 265/70. So when a flat occurs in some remote place, the chance that local tire store will have a replacement for you to get you home with is much greater.
You can't go wrong with BFG's. A friend of mine's dad had some BFG AT's installed at the dealer when he bought his truck. I happen to run in to him at Costco when he finally replaced them at 94k miles. He said they still had some life left in them and all of his miles were mature adult commuter miles too.

Thanks you all!
I still have them at my dad's house as he has the bigger garage.
I am not sure if I want to get new rims or just put them on the ones I have....?

These tires are E rated tires.
Did I mess up getting these tires? Will the E rated tire be okay?

The e rated tires will be fine but you'll definitely notice a harsher ride.

Can you define harsher ride?
