I'm looking at purchasing a 2003 or newer 4Runner and building it up a bit to run a 33"ish tire. My issue is that I don't completely understand the differences between all the different models of 4 Runners.

What is the difference between an SR5 model and non SR5?

Is there a huge difference between the V6 and V8 as far as Expo needs are concerned and what kind of mileage should I expect to get with say 285/70R17's?

Why do some have hood scoops and others don't?

I see that in some of the later models there is a sport model, how is this different than the earlier SR5's and non SR5's.

Last one, if you could start from scratch again, would any of you go with a different model of 4 Runner or stick with what you have?

I apologize as I know that this is a good bit of questions, but I really am confused with all the different models and options. I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Thanks in advance,

Travis

Well I found a page that listed the specific differences with each model of 4 Gen. 4Runners and it cleared alot of it up for me. I'd post the link, but I was at work when I found it....did I say work, I meant, errr uh. Anyhow, Thanks for the help though.

All of the 4Runners are excellent. Best of luck, and post some pics when you bring her home!
