Changed jobs and no longer need this for hauling samples around. + might be upgrading to a Four Wheel Camper for camping...

here's some details:
Fits small to medium pick ups.
inside length is about 90 inches / 7.5 feet.
has 2 bench seats that collapse to a bed large enough for 2 people.
Sink
Storage under bench seats.
No brand name or model name. I was told this is 1 of 100 made out of Santa Cruz. Full production was never initiated.
Mounts for Yakima racks.
Surfboards can be hung on inside, (fits 8 foot boards. Can be modified for longer boards). This is very cool for traveling as you can keep your gear out of sight.
Not sure on the weight. Maybe 750? I added airbags but would have over 1500 pounds of gear in this + the camper, (I'm a sales rep for ski/clothing. This thing would be packed + 20 pair of skis on the roof and a bunch of other equipment)
Plenty of room for most anything else.

$1,200

Emails replied to daily, (please email vs. pm'ing). Located in Truckee, Ca.

Thanks and happy travels.

After a few surf trips to the coast, I decided to hold on to this. Sorry to change the plan and thanks to all the nice people that contacted me. Seemed like after I decided to keep it, the calls started flooding in.

I'll re-post if I ever really commit to selling my camper (and find a good deal in a FWC for my 4 door '03 Tacoma to replace it) Trade + cash for yours...

I also ran into 2 people that knew the builder down in Santa Cruz, so I guess the story about there being around 100 units is true + some other cool details such as a stock radio in back.

Any chances you can share the builder info, maybe via PM?

this seems like a great concept.

thx

i don't know the builder by name. I do know is that he was a boat builder down in SC, (Santa Cruz) and might still be around that area. If I ever run into him, I'll invite him to this forum so he can answer some of the questions.

I'd be into a new creation: wider sides, lower roof + a pop top, (but then again I think I'm describing a FWC built with fiberglass).

If you want to come ski some steeps in Taos and deliver that camper I could use it. Plus you would get a few free nights at my house just eight miles from some of the steepest terrain in the country:wings:
