Hello Expo..

I've been on a forum and metal working hiatus for a while... So I finally pulled my head out and started working on my 02 Tacoma, again. I wanted to share this bit of my build with those interested and maybe pick some brains for a few camping solution ideas as the build goes on... I know an exo seems a bit off track around here.. But my rig is still some what multi purpose... :sombrero:

:Over all goal is a multi purpose crawler, outfitted for comfortable extended travel into the back country and while rough camping on the hardest trails.
:Camping Solution needed is options / ideas on what to do with what used to be my spare tire swing out.. ???

Exo looks clean-n-tight! Like the lines on the front bumper. Is that where you run your spare? Not a fan of blocking my rear window views, unless i'm feelin so badass that I dont need to back up and pick a new line ;). I like them on the rear for weight balance and bumper.

Wicked truck, cant wait to see it in action- though the garage shots are purdy nice, wish i had a lift. Keep the pics/specs comin.

This is a tire carrier solution for my particular set up made out of scrap DOM. It's adjustable for possible change in tire size, maybe.. Adjustable up 5" and out 4" though I will never need that much.

Nice!!! I think the last time I saw your rig was when we were on Dear Valley and you had an Adventure Trailer set-up in your bed.

Been needing to make this correction to my suspension for a while now..( yes i run a panhard with leaf springs with great results) . The lower panhard bracket was attached to the Ubolt plate for to long, but with no problems in 130,000 miles. Still it was not right and this new design makes things right for this set up.

I have only had time to make and test fit the new bracket..

I finally had a chance to finish up few things..

1. Lowered the rig "1.5" with a shackle change out and finished up some welding.

2. Finished up the Panhard/Shock bracket.

3. A start of a tailgate and reuse of the old spare tire swing out.

Same rig, just changed up a bit.. The trailer body/bed was not as practical for my application as it would have been on a more mild to stock built Tacoma. I had to climb all over it to get stuff in n out. The CG was a bit high for my liking with the tent on, and overall weight was a bit much for the type of wheeling I like to do along with overland travel.

Really I was on my way home to start an exo cage and bed build back then, when Mario and all of us at the time started brain storming, next thing I know I'm building a sub frame for the Chaser tub instead with the hopes of adding an option to an already great product line... :sombrero:

Finished off as much as I have time to do.. All thats left is the anti-wrap bar that I was in the middle of making and tying the fender tubes to the shock hoops since I chose to not run a windshield bar for now, until I purchase more dies for the bender. All that will have to wait for now..
