has anyone on here installed one in their Tacoma?

if so can you give some feedback on it and possibly provide some pictures? I am pretty interested in this product but would like to see it actually installed in a Taco and hear some feedback before I drop $375 on the system!

Someone from sPod is here on ExPo and I beleive he was a Tacoma guy too? I've seen their product firsthand over the years albeit not in a Tacoma, great stuff.

Edit: here he is. 2nd gen Taco though.

Talked to John yesterday about his product and it sounds like is is very well built product and eliminates the hassle and risks of tapping into existing wiring.

:sombrero: I don't want to interrupt your Taco news, but

I saw sPOD on the forum and I immediately checked in, I have the system in my '08 JKU Rubi and having had a bunch of different sw/relays systems--this is the best I've ever seen/had

Mine is the 6sw/Source sys-without the airpressure gage and it's fabulous

You can't go wrong, it's well worth the dough !!

Awesome...thanks so much for the link! That is what I was looking for pictures.

That just sold me on it! Super sweet for the switches, solves a problem in the Tacos with not much dash room for switches and it is a nice wiring system to boot. I want to use the area below my stereo in the center for some extra gauges not switches. I also don't want switches in the shifter area since they can get bumped to easily. So the S-Pod looks like the perfect solution!

I saw and met them at EJS in 09. Loved the product but had not seen it for the Taco.

And Jimbo no worries, all input and pictures is a good thing.

No problem!

I went rounds when it came to switches in my Tacomas as well. In my first Taco (96 EC) I used Contura switches with the bezel inserts they have available. I was able to squeeze 3 switches on the left side of the column, enough for my needs at the time. On my current 04' Tacoma I have front and rear lights in the blanks under the factory ash-tray. Compressor switch is a sealed unit under the hood in my fuse/relay panel and I moved my Hazard switch to the blank for the ABS key (not utilized on DC's) using a prototype Gamiviti bezel (http://www.gamiviti.com/html/products_bezels.html). Then in my old hazard switch blank I have a Gamiviti mic holder (http://www.gamiviti.com/html/products_micholders.html) for my 2m. My CB mic hangs on my Panavise bracket, which is setup for the ipod or GPS. Busy enough :D Add that a Apline in dash DVD/audio setup and an Edge CTS diagnostic computer and it does feel a bit busy at times.

I have their system in my 08 JK and love it! Keeps all my wiring clean, and hooked up properly. I also Opted of the Low Voltage cutoff so if the battery gets below 11.4 (I think that is the trigger point) it will shut power down to the accessories.

I just picked up there kit for my 05 Tacoma that is suppose to be here tomorrow afternoon. I am going to install it as soon as I get home. I will post up how it turns out.

Pardon my ignorance but how is this different then installing something like a Blue Sea (?) fuse block? Unless I'm missing something (which I likely am) all it does is simplify the wiring process, correct?

The one benefit I did notice its only having to run one wire into the cab.

A fully functional 6-switch mountable panel and a Pwr source/w 6- 30 amp relays- replaceable 5/30 amp bayonet fuses/w aircraft insulated/shielded cable and weather proof connectors/w an encapsulated "source" with professional terminal boards for Accessory wiring and sw pnl wiring/w sw # marked/w fully insulated lugged, pwr (battery) cable/w 40 amp fused

You can ID each switch with circuit labels

Pretty unbeatable

Yup, this is added to the list.

I was basically going to make a relay setup just like this on my own. It wouldn't have turned out as polished as this, and would probably cost just as much after adding everything up.

The money pit continues. :snorkel:

Nothing compares to this sPOD setup

Good luck
