Am considering getting a 07 Quad Big Ram 4x4 with 17k on it ($21k). It has the hemi engine.

CarFax states both "registered as personal vehicle" and "registered as lease vehicle" - which I find interesting! All in 2 years & 9 months.

My question deals with purchases such as this, i.e., involving leased vehicles. Do lease companies generally let maintence slide, knowing they'll dump the vehicle early on - or are they generally pretty good about keeping up with things?

Down the road - this would be the vehicle that I install a FlipPac or pop-up on for some sightseeing up Alaska way:)

TIA for any and all help & info.

If it was a 'personal lease' (a private person leasing from the dealer) I could see it being listed that way.

And the time frame fits, as most leases are 3 years.

If that's the case, chances are good that the maintenence was done, as the lease would (usually) include free oil changes and check ups, which the dealer would send out reminders for.

I may be all wet, (as I've never leased a rig) but it seems logical to me:snorkel:

"big ram"? You mean Big Horn? If so, that's just an accessories package and mostly all the shiny things we all take off :D

21k for a 3 year old 1500 seems a little steep unless it has some really low miles on it.

As far as lease vehicles with Dodge.. depends on the owner and dealership and terms of the lease. It could have been completely cared for by the driver or the dealer ship.
