Allow me to introduce Marc and Gwendolyn, please welcome them warmly into the Expedition Portal Community.
They are better known by the name of their website:
http://www.bourlingueurs.com/.
We spent a very pleasant evening last night meeting them and greatly enjoying their company and stories over some California wine and salmon.
They are a French pair travelling in a beautifully prepared Land Cruiser Troopie HZJ 78 diesel. They were passing through the Bay Area on their expedition that has taken them through every country in South America, up through much of Central America as they begin to visit North America.
Please visit their website as I cannot do them justice in this introduction, much of it is in French or Spanish, but you can still see tons about the expedition.
I can't wait to see a story on these guys and their rig in Overland Journal!

Si en BAL privé tu pouvais me donner ton cellulaire, cela serait bien ! Merci

We invited Marc and Gwendolyn over for dinner this week and listened to their incredible story. It was wonderful listening to them recount the places they have been and the people they have met. We were able to ask them questions about South America, as our next big trip is to Chile, and they graciously provided pointers and information regarding the region we will be in. If you are afforded the opportunity, sit down with these two as you won't be disappointed.

The story of these three weeks is so rich that we split into two pages.
First, Las Vegas, the city of all excesses, ... prudish souls refrain :Wow1: :

Marc & Gwendolyn - When you get up to Alaska you are most welcome to stay with us. We are right at the end of the Alaska Highway in Delta Junction - a good place to stop, rest and repair. I don't know your routing, but we are located right at the junction of Richardson and Alaska Highways. If interested you can email us from our website at www.travelswithtroopy.com. We are familiar with all the highways and roads in Alaska, including the Dalton up to Prudhoe Bay and Deadhorse. Please let us know if we can help. From a fellow Troopy owner - Bon Voyage! Jeff

I'm just a newbie to the site and overlanding in general, but if there is anything I can do for you in the city, send me a note. From your pics it looks like you covered SF pretty well in your first visit but glad to help if I can. Restaurant recs., neighborhoods/sights to see, Toyota resources, etc. Also, might be able to get you garage access if the need were to arise.
