If i had the $$$ (or more correctly $$$$$$$), I'd probably buy Actionmobil over Unicat. After scanning both their sites with a fine tooth comb...

My openion is that Actionmobil is more innovative while at the same time taking more of a minimalist approch. (not saying that there is much of anything minimalist about an 8 wheel drive MAN).

You gotta love those big MAN 8x8 trucks. Russian builder Kamaz also makes an 8x8 with their signature air-cooled diesel engine.

In USA, Oshkosh makes an 8x8, usually outfitted as an airport fire truck. If set up as 6x6 with a tag rear axle, the rear axle can be made steerable, a throwback to the hook-and-ladder days.

But I'm more impressed with URAL's 5323.

They're doing a JV with Iveco to make them, so you know they've got to be good.
