A friend of mine told me about this site so I thought I'd say hi. My rig is fairly new and I have alot of plans for it but for now, here she is.

Welcome and nice Xterra. I have the exact same one. I have yet to take it offroad, been using the Tacoma for that. I plan on taking it out this spring if the wife will let me drive it! How is the truck off road? Are those Shrockworks sliders? I plan on adding those along with the Timbren bumpstops this summer.

I think its pretty good offroad as a stocker. The rear locker has made up for the weak factory tires but I've just upgraded to some BFG AT's so I'm sure that will help as well. The ride is on the soft side compared to previous generations (I upgraded from an 02 Xterra) but if you get the bump stops for the rear, it will help out on the bottoming out issue everyone is seeing.
Yes those are Shrockworks sliders, in fact those are the first set Jim made for the 05+ Xterra's.

Nice Rig, we don't get the Xterra in Australia. What engine do they have?
We do have a Xtrail with a 2.5ltr http://www.nissan.com.au/xtrail/

They have a 4.0l V6, 265hp with a 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual. The truck is very fast and smooth. I've only had one since last October but am impressed so far.

By the way that is a nice looking Frontier you have. I assume that's what they call it down there or does it have a different name? Is that a custom set-up you have on the back or some type of option?
Nice X! With the sliders and the BFG's you've got a good start.

Thanks.
I also have a 3" lift on it now and a full set of skids underneath. I want a front bumper but I'm kinda holding out for ARB to come up with one.

:) They've got it. However, I'm not sure if it's available in the U.S. yet. I'd go bug Jane at 4x4 Parts to contact ARB USA about it.

That bumper is for the frontier and althought the Xterra and frontier share the same frame, the mounting options for it don't line up with factory holes from what I hear on the Xterra frame. I've been in contact with ARB and they said they are R&D'ing one now so hopefully by the end of the year we'll see one.

Everywhere else in the world Frontier's are known as Navara's, pretty much the same as the frontier, just come out of different factories. The Navara comes in either 4ltr V6 the same as yours (that's what I have) or 2.5ltr common rail turbo diesel.
The alloy tray (6'x6') is an after market option. I needed the extra space for work, plus it comes in handy for going camping.
