First Camping Trip with our 8 Month Old.

My wife and I took our 8.5 month old on her first camping trip last night. We knew it could be a nightmare, but needed to just go and see what happens.

She did well, however she is a light sleeper so any time we rolled around in the RTT she would wake up and scream. Haha. Besides not sleeping all that well she did great. It was just a quick overnighter, but we are looking forward to more as she gets older.

I love being a dad and can't wait to introduce her to how great traveling and being outdoors can be. Fun times.

ours (9month old twins and 6yr old)...love camping..they snuggle up to mom all night and sleep well...

and I like your deck/porch off the tent!

That sounds exactly like our first experiences with our kids. It gets better as they get older too, the older two sleep all night on the trips now. Glad to see you two getting her out like that, she's gonna thank you for it some day.
