Screenshots from the NY Auto Show video at Lexus.
Looks like simulcast video is gone, but here's where it was.

So does it platform share with the Land Cruiser or not? They said it wouldn't share the new engine either and it would have IRS in back originally...

I understood that they are still a shared platform and I thought the new L/C would have the 3UR-FE engine (the 5.7L iForce, which is what's in the LC570).

I'll bet the Lexus is WAAAAYYY bigger than the VW. It's suppose to be even bigger than LC100/LX470.
I'm trying to understand how there is still a market for a vehicle that is bigger than the Land Cruisers we already have.

The 100 series is smaller than the Sequoia, Tahoe, and Expedition SUV's already on the market.

Your right, it is slightly smaller than the Sequoia, but at least it's not lighter. The LC100 has a slightly higher curb weight and a significantly higher gross weight. Obviously the LC100 is heavier....duty. :D
