I wrote a response on the original thread - in which I put a plug in for NOT doing this for prizes (and I explain why in that post) - but I thought it would be a good idea if each region that is sponsoring a cleanup opens its own thread so that you can track it more easily.

Tucson folks - who can join in?

And if we're doing one day - when? If we want to get some good publicity - I can help with that - we need some lead time for magazines. Is March too soon? Too late?

I'd be up for it, depending on what my schedule is like when it comes time. Right now, it looks like I will have only 1, possibly 2 weekends off each month. What those weekends are, I don't know yet. We are still working on it.

me too, depending on dates. My 3-year-old keeps wanting to do a cleanup too. Everytime I take her on the bumpy roads and we see lots of trash she asks why, and I explain as best I can, and she wants to organize a cleanup day. Warms the heart to hear her want to help.
