for sale - 280 GE

Not mine nor someone I know. Also check out the Land Rover. I have not seen them in person, but I have been to the shop once several years ago. Very cool cars indeed.

I am sure they are above my pay grade, but cool to dream.

I cannot be sure, but it looks like someone just painted the roof white and its not a rear safari rook. I took a close look at Syncro's 300GDT with factory safari roof and I think you should be able to see the lip of the rook above the windshield.

it weighs more than, and has 2/3 the power of a 76 fj40. im thinking you can swing a deal on a 280.

Well. a fellow (now new) G-wagen owner had just posted something at P3, which might refer to the same "nice" truck:

Last week I drove to Omaha to look for a 280GE for sale at Classic Auto Sales. I found that the care needed quite some work on the body. The car was repainted and rust was "bubbling" underneath. Furthermore, there was rust under the window seals. The undercarriage was coated and didn't look that appealing. This car would be great for restoration, but it was not what I am looking for.
