Taillights

I had my second light develop several 1/4"-3/8" cracks right through the lens overnight while sitting in the garage. I believe it has something to do with expansion of the lens inside the black plastic encasing. Last unit was replaced completely in July.

Last time I left the lens but soon enough it filled up with water during a trip into the mountains and left me with a friendly reminder on the dashboard and several kind folk informing me of an out taillight. :D


I have yet to find a part number for only the lens and assume I will be purchasing the entire unit once again. Do the new 09+ model tails fit properly on the 02+ 463's? I would assume so.

I would think eurotruck importers would have the lens without having to buy a whole assembly.
I'm assuming you have a 463. those lenses should be pretty robust. Is it possible the black housing is warped? if so, you might be stressing the lens a bit.
