I am looking for tips anyone may have on canvas care.
I recently purchased a 40 year old tent trailer. The canvas is in great shape, but im wondering what, If anything I can do to help the canvas stay in shape.
It may see some rain! It will also see intense sun, heat, and, humidity.
Is there some kind of UV/waterproof spray on coating? Is there some good old fashioned trick? Any ideas will be great:tent:

Graham was kind enough to pass along his writeup when I asked a similar question. Here is the link.

Excellent writeup, Graham! My Softopper is in need of some TLC. It's only 1.5 years old. In fact I just took it off this morning to do a few minor repairs. I will most likely employ some of the advice from your website before putting it back into action.

Thanks. I was pretty frustrated when we got the Rover back from Africa and the tent was covered in mould and stank so bad we couldn't go near it. We thought it was a loss, but months of research and asking around, and now it's as good as new. Hope the info helps.
cheers

Once again, the knowledge and experience of the people at ExPo, priceless.
