Roof Rack Mounting Directly to Hard Top

I am looking at mounting a roof rack directly to my Hard Top. I have a Yakima Roof Rack that I use on my Westy that attaches to the Rain Gutters. My 4Dr Rubi has Rain Gutters over the rear doors. Wondering if I can bolt Artificial Rain Gutters on the rear of the Hard Top. Wondering if the top can take the weight. I am thinking of adding a roof top tent, so you have to add the weight of 2 adult to the top.

I wouldn't think it would take the weight of an RTT with two adults in it. I would look at some of the other options like MBRP and others that are rated for quite a bit of weight. I know there's at least one rack option for a JKU that is reputed to handle 1000lbs of static weight.

Yeah it looks like I am going to have to go for the rack mount rather than mounting it right on the top. I was hoping to use a set a Yakima roof racks that I have with Rain Gutter Tower mounts.

There is company makes racks that bolt to the roof, they do have some to fit JK's

If I'm not mistaken the "Overland JK" has a similar setup where the roof rack et al is supported by the roll cage as well. Not sure if it's the same as the pictured setup or not.
