Automatic transmission only (6-sp) and I'm guessing virtually no chance that we'll see 4wd available in this generation, but there will be a new cab-forward and c.o.e. 4 door crew cab on the market this year.

Cool. I wonder if the cab over engine model will be built in Ontario, Canada, or in Japan.

Hi. I have been wanting a crew cab cab over 4x4 for a long time. So, about a month ago I called up all three, Isuzu, Mitsubishi and Hino USA. I just wanted to hear from someone why they don't give us this option in N America. I can't remember his name now but the Hino guy said there was this new model that was going to be show at this show in March. He did not think a 4x4 would be offered. All three phone calls were depressing as each said there wasn't enough of a market for them!
I think this is wrong. They could so easily compete with the big 3, and win!

Did anyone catch on here what the wheel base options are? Particularly with the crew cabs?

my guess is that they would not be too much different than these:
www.hinocentral.com/2010Specs/2010-155.pdf
specs appear to be almost identical except for things like springs and such that would account for the GVW to increase from 14k to 19k (approx)
UD was notorious for doing that with their small COE trucks. Exact same truck from 12k to 18k (some weird freight break or tax break there) maybe add a few springs in the rear, but 99% same truck, derated with a 14k sticker for example.

very interesting. the US market hasn't had the small cabover HINO since 2008 or so and didn't even have the smaller range of conventional trucks for the 2010 model year.
