Hello,
Yesterday I purchased a 2003 G00!
Like many of you--forever I was looking at Jeeps, vintage Broncos, Land Rover Series & Defenders. Then a year ago I found Overland Journal and this forum (while on my most recent AFG tour) and learned much more about overland vehicles than I had ever known. I also learned about the G-Wagen. Then I started noticing them being driven in AFG (Italian SF were driving them as were some of the Germans). I thought--so cool, but never thought I would own one.
Anyway, the opportunity came and we took it!
I'm not planning any mods (after reading about how capable these are in factory form), just:
-- tires
-- roof rack (for snowboards)
-- bluetooth phone capability (I can't find any "cradle" and the manual specifies how to operate using the phone COMAND controls but doesn't elaborate on how to connect a phone)
-- rear towing hitch & trailer wiring (doesn't seem to have one already)
Appreciate any help/advice on best options for the above 4.
