It's been almost 2 weeks but today I had a good 3.5 hrs. to spend on my rear drawer set up and made some good progress. My 36" slides arrived so I was able to get to the meat of the unit, the actual drawer and a hinged lid for the front section. My goal is to have it all buttoned up by next Thursday.

I decided to do a double hinge lid (I only have one done) for easier access from the rear passenger door. I figure this will be a great place for an inverter.

Cool. Are you leaving the left-hand side open? I'm trying to figue out a plan of attack for my new setup I want to build. I'd like to be able to stash a couple of bikes inside the truck if needed and therefore want to keep an open area where I can stand them up with the front wheel off. I need to have enough width though still to sleep two people. Are you planning on carpeting it or painting it when done?

The left side will be open for my bike. the right is the drawer and sleeping platform. I will carpet the entire thing and bolt it down to a few of the seat mounting holes.

This is the first thread I started on my project. It should give some prespective on how it will be used.
