So, when did Renault own the Jeep brand? I know they installed their Diesels in the export models but never knew Jeep was owned by the French.

Imo, "Mercedes" is a valid answer. They owned Jeep from 1998 up until what ... yesterday? ;)

That was my selection, but it came up incorrect with Renault being the correct answer. Maybe i can file an appeal... :p

Mercedes never owned Jeep. DaimlerChrysler AG did. Big difference. Mercedes is a seperate group from Chrysler, and the Truck group. DaimlerChrysler is the parent company of Chrysler and Mercedes.
