View Full Version : Toyota Fest Long Beach

Just got back from attending the one day event at the Queen Mary, Long Beach, CA. Really nice spot for a show, sunny (after the haze burnt off) lots of different vehicles from street rods, stock 1970's Toyotas, and a bunch of Landcruisers.

We were hooked up behind one of TLC's ICON's which is a very sweet vehicle. The crowd were all Toyota enthusiasts but few were Overlanders or off roaders and this was the first time they had seen a Roof Top Tent. That combined with the Chaser trailer set up really got their minds working on possibilities they had never thought of. It was almost as if you could see the cogs turning inside their heads!!

Matt brought his Taco Chaser and pulled in the ELT (Exceptionally Lifted Truck) crowd. All in all it was a great show, who knows maybe we will get a few more Overlanders out of it.

Awesome I'm a rover owner but I love toyota's. my pops just sold his 95 locked and loaded Fj-80.

Dang it, how'd i miss hearing about this beforehand? dang it! Oh well i was wheelin.. just as nice i guess.

It gets better or worse depending on your point of view and or relationship with your Bank manager or credit card limit.

What we have proposed is an ICON Branded Horizon, powder coated with ICON's own powder, fully equipped and accessorized. Outfitted with furniture from www.melvillandmoon.com

It's obviously not for everyone but there are people who have discerning taste and will pay for the best.

Yeah and people balk about the $100K XV-JP, the Icon+AT combo would be in the same ballpark.
