Yeah, I read that one last week. I'm not holding my breath though. But I do get wet dreams about it.
OK, OK, yeah so I'm a rover fanatic...:D

In the meantime, the 2007 Defender is, despite the familiar look, the first major technical overhaul in 15 years, with a new engine and gearbox, revised suspension, new forward-facing seats in place of side-facing benches, a new dashboard and, in a major technological advance (drumroll, please), air conditioning for the first time in a Defender
Is this true? Current Defender have no a/c???

Yeah, I got a laugh out of that one as I drove home yesterday soaking in the stock AC on my 97:)

Probably not stock in the UK, AC is only just becoming common, lots of brand new cars for 2008 still don't have it. A new land rover is around the price point where you expect it to be standard. Most cars have tiny engines, if you only have a 950cc engine, AC is going to trash your performance and gas mileage.

A/c has been an option in Land rovers in the Uk for years.
If the NA market ever sees another Defender, I'm almost 100% positive it won't be the Defender we all love, just something badged as a Defender, a Shame really. Looks like I will have to start collecting parts and build my own haha
