Wow that thing is freakin cool! My Mom's been driving a 1981 CJ-7 since well 1981! I've always loved jeeps.
Very very cool! Will any of your mods from the old Jeep carry over? If not what do you have on tap??
Will you be taking this to the trophy in october??

Awesome Justin! You are going to love that Jeep. With the additional wb and width, it really climbs, and is much more stable (less head toss).

So far the list is short but I am sure it will increase with time. This is what I am thinking at this time.
1st on the list for Nth Degree's lift kit - Should be available July 2007
Here is what the lift looks like with 35" tires

Currently have a Jeeperman Rear bumper on order. Yes that is a rear winch location. Not sure if I will use it.

Looking at putting a Shrockworks front bumper on like this one with the radiator hoop.

They sure are nice. One of my friends just picked one up and I could get use to it. If it could pull a 22ft Airstream I would be all over it.
Maybe next year they will belly up and drop that Hemi in it and make me use mom's Employee discount.

Very cool! Congratulations. Stone white, nice color :) Some AEV wheels would be sweet.
Quick replys to some questions - Fresno was the closest dealership that had a White Rubicon in stock that was not asking a premium for it. As for the H3 Alpha if I could have seen one in person and if they were available now I just might have gone that route. Still no pricing but I think you can order them as of a couple of days ago.
Oh ya just ordered 7 of these --

Any suggestions on which tire I should put on them -- I am leaning towards the Goodyear MTR or the BF Goodrich MT's in a size 315/75/16. I like the MTR's for there durability but I have had problems with cupping. I have no real experience with the BF Goodrich MT's. Both of these tires would be load range D -- any thoughts on how will they will do once I air down. I am currently running 35" MTR's on my Jeep but they are load range C. Makes for a nice ride when aired down.
Thanks
Chris we are on the same page.

I'll vouch for the BFG MT in the 315/75/R16 size as that is what I'm running on my D and AT Horizon. By the way, very nice rig! :wings:

Toyo Open Country MT's
They are load range E though...
I like mine so far.
Regearing -- Yes with time I will regear. Just talked to allJproducts and set a date for the lift install. If all goes as planned the lift will be installed early August. Good point Luisjg, I will have to look into the gears.

not sure if you've answered this already but judging by your signature, you're keeping your other jeep? what are your plans for it?
Mlachica wrote

I will be keeping the 03 Rubicon until the build out is near complete - lift, tires, custom rack. Then I will probably sell it. I am swaying back and forth on this as I hate to get rid of a good Jeep but at the same time I do not want to store and maintain two identical vehicles. Currently I am in debate as to how much I should be removing from it. If I take the winch, lights, radio's, GPS out how much of this is going to lower the value of this fine Jeep. On the other hand if I leave it intacted someone else will make out like a bandit and I will just be lossing money.

The accessories are not going to make you much money on the sale unless you just luck out and find the right buyer. It is going to be KBB.com plus a little for stuff like Lift, wheels and bumpers but the winch you would loose on if you leave it on.
Last built rig I sold I couldn't get anywhere near what I needed because of the goodies. I sold off some of the good stuff like the warn shafts and CTM's and made the soft top optional to the truck buyer to get the money up. It took a lot of extra time to market the goodies separately but It got me where I needed to be on the money.
Grim Reaper -- You are right on the money! I just hate to take apart all of the work I did.

Yeah so did I but after having it for sale for 10 months with a bunch of low ball offers. I sold it in three weeks after I stripped it back down.
Had the Warns and CTM's sold in 5 days for $750. Took that off the price of the truck and started getting interest. Pulled the brand new 35's and rims off it and kept them for next project (later traded for a E-Locker and parts). Put a set of used tires and rims on it that I picked up for $200 and took another $600 off. Sold the bumpers for $300 and a few other parts and ended up right at what I was looking to get for the truck with the accessories.
One of my Buddies son's has his Rubicon with some goodies for sale right now and it hasn't moved in 6 months. He is also right at being upside down on it. :(
