This PDF file is a copy of the US military battlefield damage asscessment and repair manual. This contains many oddball and proven "tricks" to repair cracked and punctured oil pans, etc, by using repair kit materials carried aboard every vehicle. I highly recommend this manual be printed out and a field repair kit assembled with good vehicle service manual on those long, outward bound trips and cruises. I have kept one in each of my company trucks for the drivers.

Interesting reading. Somebody should teach the gov't to "never saddle a dead horse" Page 50 shows the Crosby Clamps on backwards.
