I managed to make the finals of the ExPoordition sponsorship contest. This is certainly going to be a close contest and no matter who wins, it is going to go to someone in the Expo family. That said, I really want to win. This is a rare opportunity to get exposure for my writing and photography and move some of my long-term travel and adventure goals forward in a big way.

For those who haven't already voted or who are on the fence about who to vote for, I figured I would ask my fellow Toyota lovers to cast their vote for me. I would sincerely appreciate getting to represent the Expo community on this amazing opportunity. Mine is Submission #1.

Voting is here: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57685

Reading all the entries is probably worth a trip to the thread in itself. Thanks for your consideration of voting for me. :victory:

Why the appeal to brand loyalty?
Your writing makes you worthy of my vote.
Great job, and good luck!

That was mostly just for fun and to get the word out in this forum. Thanks for the compliment. :sombrero:

I looked at this thread on my way out the door at 4:45 this morning, and just glanced at your story before I left. As I was leaving I was thinking "damn, that dude is in jail?".

Pardon my stupidity, it was early, and I had just heard about some of the newer "special needs" prisons from a guard in the Central Valley. You got my vote.

I'm not sure how I feel about Chris's story. I work with him. I mean right next to him. In the same office. In the same economy. Hmmm... feeling a bit confining in here.....

I wouldn't worry about it. The orange jumpsuit kind of works for you.

If anyone needs a change of scenery, it's you. Got my vote and you're in the lead.
P.S. As I sit here in my cubicle, just four feet from large windows, they actually do have bars with bands of electricity running through them. They're supposed to keep the pigeons away, but I wonder, hmm....

You had my vote from your own merits... Wasn't expecting symbolic writing, so you fooled me for the first paragraph. I too have the Folsom Prison Blues.

Same prison, different location.

We should start a club or union or something. Maybe the Prisoners' Adventure League.

IMHO, It's a close competition in regards to the competitors submissions, but it looks like you have a pretty good lead so far in the voting.

Best of luck.
