I steam cleaned and then painted undercarriage today. I used Rustolem Black Satin paint on undercarriage. I used Rustolium Truck Bed paint on Fender wells. I used Rustolium Caliper Paint for Calipers. I was really impressed at how easy the job was and how well the paint went on. Started at 8:00AM finished at 3:00PM including clean up. My friends that let me use their lift said it looked like it just came off the factory floor. Now I wish I had a new SS exhaust system.

I use a hot water pressure washer. I sprayed a degreaser on and let it sit for about ten minutes before washing.

Any areas you felt you needed to avoid? How many cans of degreaser/rustoleum did it take? Any other tips?
I'm very interested in doing this myself.

I used a piece of card board held in one hand as a shield to prevent paint from going where I didn't want it to. I avoided brake rotors obviously. If you take your time you can do a neat job. I have learned to spray lightly and always keep the can moving . No drips. Better to spray lightly then go back over to prevent runs.
I used some parts cleaner on a rag to clean some overspray on the shocks.

Looks great.
For others contemplating it Por15 comes highly recommended by long time Rover owners.
