On July 1st my wife, dog and I start our 2 week road trip and our first long distance trip with our new AT Chaser. Our plan is to make it to Silverton, CO for the 4th of July and explore the San Juan Mountains. The 2nd part of our trip we'll explore the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We have never been to the North Rim but from talking with people it sounds like it our adventure will be exciting

When I went to the North Rim it was by Tuweep. The Ranger In Residence is super cool and the views of the canyon are fantastic

Sounds like a great trip! If you get a chance to camp at Point Sublime on the North Rim, I highly recommend it. we stayed a couple of nights there last year and its amazing. no rails, no crowds, no rangers- just like I imagine it may have been back in "the day" before the commercialization. We camped right next to the edge of the canyon, the view from the rtt was amazing!
