I know there are a lot of conversations out there about where to mount the tag, and I have a solution. My brother did this one. Not a bad job, simple and rough but out of sight so it doesn't really matter!
Hope it sparks some ideas.

Looks like it works to me!
And you have the light to keep it legal for the PA PO PO!
I hung mine on the rear cross member it is recessed enough to clear the tailgate when dropped
and is made from 3/32" steel and is in clear view.

Aw come on! Don't trash the erector set! That stuff is the best invention ever made! You would be right if it were in plain sight, but how often do you climb under to critique!

I'm not a rock... or dirt berm
but if I were... and while I was inspecting up under yer wagon
I'd probably hammer up against that LP (or maybe just rip 'da chit off)
and while I'm down there... might as well twist that sign post up a little too.
No reason to keep that straight if the LP is folded in half...
But I'm not a rock... so yer safe :D
if U had mind to do something... to make it less cheese n mo' tech/bling :p
1. paint that pot metal bracket black ('cause rocks have feelings too)
2. hinge that dang LP to the bracket (heavy rubber strip works on 'da cheap)
^ at least then the plate might survive traveling down a fire road ;)
