Captains 1994 Hilux

Bought my first car for about a year ago. Started out as a LN110 mk3 x-cab with 2L (2.4D) 4x4.
Its primary a HiLux (Toyota Pickup), but sold as a Volkswagen Taro.

My plans have all the time been
- 38x15,5x15 wheels from Arctic Trucks
- 1KZ-T 3.0TD L4 diesel with intercooler
- 6-8" wide fender flares from Iceland
- ARB Air-Lockers front and rear
- Stiff axel swap
- 4x NBB Alpha 225 HID Pencil Beam with 75w
and some more.

By this past year I have done the engine swap, repainted the car in matte white, changed the seats into ergonomic Recaro, lifted the car on 2,5" Old Man Emu and some smaller things like retrofitted a steeringwheel, cup holder, mirror w/map lights, ThermoWipers and some back seats.
Pics will be uploaded asap

The first thing I did was a massive interior clean. It had been droven on dusty roads and in dirty woods as a car for hunting.

No rust in the cabin - i thought... Both channels well eaten from the inside.

Tried to make the comfort a bit better by isolating the cabin.

I'm going to do this again later on with some better materials, and the whole cabin, not just around the back seats.

Bought a set of 33" BFG MT KM1, but didnt have any rims to put them on. Ended up selling them to a friend.

The local police didn't like my tinted front windows so i had to take them off. Only tinted 80% (20% light passing the tinting)

Very cool! I have never seen a Toyota badged as a Volkswagen before!
On a side note, I have a "brother" that lives in Hamar!

Got a pair of Recaro seats for 1/20 of the new price, so thought it was a great bargain.

Had an engine rundown, so had to change it. While I was going to do that job I could swap to a 1KZ-T (read: plans).

So you want to do an engine swap?! Think it through one more time..

To do a engine swap from 2L to 1KZ (from a 4Runner/Surf) you have to move the engine mounts 30mm backwards, change the gearbox, gearbox mounting, make the rear driveshaft 30 cm'ish longer (about 1 ft), change cabel and wires, mod the air filter box, move the diesel filter, make new cabels from the cabin to the tail lights, diesel sensor, numberplate lights and so on. Change the diesel hoses and piping to a larger size and make new cables for turning lights +++

Thought so. Isn't many of them outside nothern Europe.

The difference is low. The few things i know is the weight i can pull and the paint is thinner than the org. Toyota - thats why they rust more.
Every part, even the VW-badge is produced by Toyota. The one thing it's not is the steeringwheel.

Cool! Hamar isn't far from home.
