Hi all,
Experimenting with a design for a rack that will fit between the 4Runner Trail Edition OEM roof rails. I figured 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x .120 with some supports to connect the spare, 2- 4gallon Rotopax, a set of MaxTrax, a shovel and a Hi-Lift. I also used 2 -10" SR Rigid Industries LED's to light up your life..
No secret squirrel **** here.....strong, somewhat light, probably support 300lbs easy, and a design to pick up like materials and angles already present on the custom running boards I made.
A full rack is appealing, but I think I'd just like to be able to throw a few things I really dont want "in" the truck up there.
Of course I havn't nailed down the actual bracket to connect it to the existing rails, but I was hoping once the metal started flying something would pop up...
Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated as always.
