I am trying to finish up my toyota 22r/L52 jeep project. It has been on the road for 12 years, and works great but it is finally time to install a speedo... Like the idea of being able to recalibate with ease, such as Dolphin and TPI speedos offer. However what would I use for a signal generator as most aftermarket ones are for Ford/GM type tranny outputs? I notice that Dolphin and TPI claim you can use any signal generator. I notice on the 22RE it appears that in the speedo cable arrangement is a speed sensor of sorts...would this work? Has anyone here adapted early toyota to aftermarket electric speedo? Thanks!
