255/85/16 tire pressure?

When mine were installed (KM2's) America's tire set them at 40, which is what their computer said to use. 3000 miles so far with no I'll effects. No bounce in them, but that may be the suspension. I am getting them rotated this week and will do the chalk test to look at the contact pattern and adjust from there.

air psi.

I run 40 in the rear and 45 in the front in winter time road use. If I am going to be running conditions I will air down to 30 all around and go down from there as needed.

General driving I stay at 35 psi. If I am going for a long highway trip, I may increase it to as high as 40 depending on the load and speeds.

I really recommend you do the chalk test empty as in around town mode and then again full up like you go camping.
If you have never done it the method is simple...
Just go to a parking lot where you have space to drive 100ft or so.
Then take some of that wide kids sidewalk chalk and draw some lines across your tire from side to side.
Now drive slow in a straight line for a bit (how far depends, just try it out)
Now get out and look at the chalk, if it is worn in the center you have too much air, if it is worn on the edges then not enough air
Taking a small compressor will help you make adjustments during testing.

good luck and report back soon with your results.
