So it hase been a while since I have posted an update on my own little FZJ 80 Land Cruiser. in other posts i have mentioned that I got Slee rear bumper, Slee slders, OME suspension kit, and a TJM front bumper. I finally got he suspension kit installed and finished the front bumper and slider installation.

On Sunday July 29th. I did my first TLCA event in Illinois. This was my first off road experience, let me say that with very few mods(I did the 7 pin and the center diff lock switch) this Land Cruiser did awsome. I will point out that our beginner group had a great leader also in an 80 so I figured if he could do it, so could I.
A little poser shot:

My goal for the day was to get one wheel off the ground, I almost made it:

In all, building the truck and taking her out doing what she was built for was awsome. This afternoon I head out to Southern WI for some light camping and to ride my MTB at Kettle Moraine. I may try and look for some easy trails too.

See you on the road.

Great progress so far. If you ever get up to the UP (~6 hours north from Chicago) let me know. Lots of great trails and exploring to do around here.

Nice color. Now I can see what my rig would look like with sliders and a rear bumper. Very cool!

I really like Slee's bumper. The center tire looks good. In fact, it looks really good. If I ever get the funds, I think that's exactly the way I want to go. Are those 33" tires? Now I have yet another thing I have to save up for...darn it.

Nice wheels. Are they from Wheeler's Off Road?

Your LC is coming together nicely. I liked your storage drawer build as well. Good stuff.

Thanks for the kind words.

The tires are 285/75R16 i believe. Which should make them just below 33". The black wheels are Wheeler's 16" Alloy's
