does anyone have a 120v plug in there bed or somewhere that's in the weather? I was thinking of making a panel that has 120v and 12v in the bed of the truck but i cant find any 120v plugs that are made for outside without being super bulky.

You're talking about adding a 120v outlet with a weather proof receptacle? They're just bulky . . . unless you are willing to inset one into the bed carcass. Then it'd be nice and flush (or close to it) like they are on the Tacoma (link to photo) (http://www.trucktrend.com/roadtests/pickup/163_0412_2005_toyota_tacoma/photo_02.html).
West Marine (http://www.westmarine.com) carries an assortment of marine-grade 120v outlets and receptacles.

I have been looking to add a outlet to the bed as well. This is all I can come up with.

Now I just need to find a cover....Im still searching
I was also thinking of mounting a standard single gang box in the cavity in the bed with a plastic standard outdoor cover. It would be flush mount just like on the side of the house. This might make a good weekend project.

I wonder if an RV center might not have what you are looking for? My Taco came with one and it is very handy indeed. It's nice having it well protected too - no worries about n environmental failure and the socket is always clean and ready to use.
