This is my photo heavy story of my project First Gen 4Runner named "Genni"
Toyota 4Runner DLX
172000 miles
born July 1986
22re
stick
Day one I took it out for an easy trail run to see what I got myself into. (if you can guess the wheeling location you get extra credit!)

So, the leaf springs were cracked. So I bought the skyjacker 2 in. lift springs and increased the preload on the torsion bars. Still running 31x10.5s
once again... wheeling to test the system.

I picked up some white face gauges from ebay... the best part is that the main speedo number is in kilometers!

Your MC rear bumper has a tow hitch?

Yes it does, but they don't recommend towing with it... I use it for a hitchmount bike rack or a hook.

Yeah that's what I read, so I was wondering if maybe they used to put them on, and now they don't.

So my shifter boot was dry rotted and dumb looking... I went to the thrift store and found a neoprene rash guard for $2. I cut apart my stock one along the seams to use as a template for the neoprene set up.
Here is how it turned out... it has lasted a little over a year.

Not sure on the brand or model, they were a craigslist score.

I didn't re gear but it was quite a dog with the 33s on compared to the 31s

Very nice. My runner should be white by the end of summer. Thanks for the inspiration.
