Interesting..

I'm very happy with my hi-lift and factory jack so I probably won't be buying either but I stumbled across this.

Slightly less capable

If it says "Made in China" on the box, I believe I'll pass.
They seem to have some quality control issues.
:D

Where are you seeing "Made in China" on the box?

I can't speak for the Titan unit, but I've dealt plenty with the ARB Bushranger unit, havn't had any problems with those yet of the dozen or so we've dealt with.

I didn't see it. I suspect it.
Northern Tool is one of the many outfits that carry a large variety of the kind of tools which I call "Cheap Chinese Junk".
No offense to my Asian brothers intended.

My bad, I mis-read your post

I'll look at the ARB unit and see if it has anything about the source on it. Truthfully I wouldn't be surprised it was made somewhere in Asia, however with proper QC standards in place such as companies like ARB, I wouldn't be too worried.

Here's Titan Exhaust Air Jack website. (http://www.streamlineimport.com/) Country of manufacture not mentioned. They also list a 4 Ton (GVW) model here (http://www.streamlineimport.com/Order.htm).

I sent an email to the company. The Titan jack is made in Mainland China.

I looked all over the ARB Bushranger... both a new package and one outside of its original package. Nothing I could see as to country of manufacture.

From personal experience anything that comes in from SE Asia is crapshoot on whether it meets QC or not. Used to drive the QC guys at my former employer crazy. One container would go 90+% while the one b4 or after it might only go 5%
It is an on-going business practice with them continue to make your parts as cheaply as they can and hope you won't catch that the quality has slid below your stds.
