Universal Mount for Phones, GPS, Radios....

I found this cool universal mount on Ebay and thought I'd share the find with you all.

I bought 3 of them and as the ad and pics show, you can configure these things a number of ways . . . and the base swivels too. :victory:

With any of these systems there are 3 key components:
- the device holder
- the arm
- the base attached to the car.

Have a RAM mount for my IFINDER GPS unit. The GPS holder is designed specifically for the GPS unit. To mount the base, I constructed a bracket from 1" aluminum angle, and attached that with 2 of the screws that hold the radio in place.

IMO...I would not recomend any glass mounted unit for off road use, with the vibrations and bumps the suction cups do not seem to hold up. Or at least I have not come across any.
