Well the Kokanee are finally starting to spawn in the Dream Stream section of the South Platte. They are about 2-3 weeks late, as I found out the last time I went up there! The weather could not have been nicer. Here's a pic of the largest one I caught, 23". The rest were 16-22".

nice!!!!
I haven't even strung up the fly rod this year. It's been too dry, too warm, or there's no water. :(

Well done, Bergger. Nice fish.
Fly-rod or spinning?
If semi-duty didn't call for my going south (Baja 1000) right now, I'd head a bit further north than the Snake River Plain. There always seems to be something that interferes with my fall fly-fishing.
I worked hard on a lower section of Silver Creek Sunday but wasn't at all productive. Wonder if the fact that a pair of mink was patrolling the same stretch of water had anything to do with it......
Thanks for posting. Looks great.

P.S. Nice cap too. :)
