Here are some pictures from this weekend I thought I would share with everyone. This purpose of this trip was to get-away, relax, and just lounge around.

We decided to go out on Sunday for some exploring. We started out with a drive around the lake, and went off Polique Canyon road. We followed this to Holcomb Valley, which essentially turns into Forest Service Road 3n16. We followed 3n16 out through Holcomb Valley, Big Pine Flat, and Crab Flats. We ended up at Green Valley Lake. A cute, small town, at 7200'. From there we headed back to Big Bear and a warm fire.

The road was pretty nice. Probably smoother with the blanket of snow covering the road. Route finding was easy because there wasn't much snow, and the road had been traveled recently.

Anyway, enough of my rambling...Here are some pictures from this weekend I thought I would share

That looks like it was a great weekend. The snow is just beautiful... Indiana has gotten gipped this winter. I love snow and we haven't gotten nearly enough.

Do you have a cabin up there or do you tent camp? *shiver, shiver*

Where in Cali. is Big Bear exactly?

We stayed in our cabin. It would have been really cold for camping. I think the low got down to something in the single digits. Burrrr...

Big Bear Lake is about three hours NorthEast of San Diego and about two hours East-North-East of Los Angeles.

Our dog likes the snow too.
