When: Saturday, December 15th 2007

What time: 9:00 AM

Where:
Denny's
529 E Avenida Pico
San Clemente, CA 92672
(949) 492-2382

What to bring?
-Any toy valued at $10 or more. Please make sure it's unwrapped.
-Your rig. Cause we all love checking out peoples rides.

I know everyone is super busy around the holidays.. but i was thinking..... every year for the past 21... West Coast 4 Wheel Drive Club has been putting on a event around Christmas called "Toys 4 Tots 4 Wheel Drive Parade". It was a great event and we attended it numerous years.. but they were basically carrying the project from their wallet. It seems that last year was there final year and no other club has picked up the torch to run with it.

I was wondering how you guys felt about maybe getting together for a meet and greet.. and bringing a $10 or unwrapped toy along with? That way we could do our part in helping out with or without a event.

Maybe we could do a South County meet up, to where it would be in the middle for all to meet.. both LA, OC, and San Diego County.

What do you guys think? Meet for breakfast somewhere one saturday or sunday before Christmas? Only for a bite to eat and run if you need too.. would be cool too. Or give your toy to another member that lives close by you if you won't have free time to come down.

Yosh and I could haul it over to a local Toys 4 Tots donation station with a help of a buddies pickup truck... or heck for our first time.. we probably won't need a pickup.

Here's the Toys 4 Tots website:

Right on! Glad to see you guys want to do this.

Im thinking of meeting at Dennys in San Clemente so it's halfway between San Diego and all the rest of us.

I will post up details ASAP.

Very nice to see you posting this up Dave.

One of the few things that will put my Grinchy self in the holiday spirit is volunteering at the local armory, bagging toys for less fortunate kids. A great reminder of what the season is really about.

Heck yeah i'd like that. Probably no later than 7am from Corona. We can meet down on Green River/91 fwy at say 10 after? 7:10am? sound good?

Are you bring your AT? that would be sweet. Then if we get too many toys (you never know) then we can toss them in your trailer. :)

Dave, just catching up on your thread on mud. Just a suggestion, but Pedros Tacos, which is just down the street from Denny's has the BEST breakfast potato burritos. They are open early for the morning patrol surfers so no worries about the timing.

On second thought the parking lot there is pretty small. Maybe I'll cruise over to Pedros and grab some food for us:)

McTaco, no problem man. The more the merrier.

Ok, so it looks like more and more great vendors are adding to the list of cool prizes. So, this is how we'll go ahead and give those out.

Here are the prize categories:

-Most toys
-Longest distance driven
-Most decorated holiday rig
-Most original toy

The rest can be raffled off.

Could you let us know "who" is in the running, is it us at the Expo or others from all sites?

I've put the invite out through a ton of email contacts and posted it on websites. It's been posted here, ih8mud, adventure4x4.net, panamintvalley.com and m715zone.com.

If you have any other friends/family or bbs boards (there are tons out there) you'd like to get the word out feel free by posting up the link to this post.

As far as for the running, it could be 10 people.. or it could be 100. Who knows. This is a last minute, thrown together little thing that could turn out to be a little better than i thought!

So to answer your question.. no it's not just us on the 'portal. The more the merrier.

Hey Dave and Andrew et al,
