Flickr just released a new Android app, to go with the Flicker for iOS app they released a couple of months ago. No sign of an iPad version so far.

Here's a page that helps you figure out how many photos it takes to fill 1 terabyte.
http://www.flickr.com/#storage
Maybe you can store those RAW files online, after all.

I'm curious what others like to shoot at... Reason I'm curious is that unbeknownst to me I have roughly three focal lengths that I shoot around most frequently, and two are classic standard focal lengths. After examining the metadata of all my shots over the last couple years I've discovered that a majority of shots that I take are surprisingly in the 30-40mm range, followed by the 80-90mm range. If you had asked me that without looking at the data I would have said 50mm and 14-25mm range. 14mm as that's the widest lens I own.

Here's what I actually shoot based on percentage.

1) 30-40mm = 43% (Crazy I thought. I'll be buying a 35mm 1.4 based on this data alone.)
2) 80-90 mm= 25%
3) 14-20= 13%

Every other focal length makes up the balance. Surprisingly, I almost never shoot beyond 110mm, like next to never.

How about you guys and gals?

So I'm taking a youth group (25 people) down to Havasupai at the end of June. Yes I know its going to be hot but that's when we could fit it into the majority of the schedules out there. I'm one of those shotgun photographers, take as many pictures as possible and sooner or later something turn out..ie I have no real skills. I've been lucky on several of my trips to southern Utah and nailed a few nice photos but I want to increase my odds a bit. With my work schedule I have not had time to take any classes. Any good online instructions out there that I can do late at night? I shoot a Nikon D90, Nikon 18-200 and 50mm 1.8 lenses. I have polarizing filters for both. I know the 18-200 isn't the sharpest lens in the world but its what I have. Is there a lens that you would recommend that I rent? Besides a tripod, anything else I should hump in the 13 miles? Should I pick up some square graduated ND filters? I'd like to practice doing some nighttime star shots before I go so I'll pick up a timer for the D90. This is one of those once in a long time trips (I'll go back but it will be a long time before I do).

My phone is android based, and I like it, but I'm not familiar with any other OS and apparently I haven't taken full advantage of Android's capabilities.
I use Lightroom, exclusively, for photo touchups.

DP Review just posted their review of Nikon's new APS-C DSLR, the D7100. The 7100 shares many features with Nikon's top of the line full frame DSLRs, including a 24 megapixel sensor and 51 point autofocus, at a price that's thousands less. The internals are so good that DP Review recommends using Nikon's high end prime and zoom lenses with this camera body. (My opinion: Most APS-C cameras can't do justice to high end lenses, so using them is mostly a waste of money.)

DP Review's conclusion: The D7100 "comfortably outpac(es) its direct competitors from Canon, Sony and Pentax...easily earns our highest honor, the Gold Award."
