  • Thanks for your reply Anton, two more questions before I leave you in peace;
    which temp thermostatic mixer valve did you go for? I saw the link you posted, but it has 3 choices, I'm leaning towards 20-43C.
    And do you know how many m's and gauge of underfloor pipe you laid?

    Many thanks,

    Good luck commissioning the system!

    Hi Dan,

    If you send me your email address I’ll send some photos of what we did with the floor/piping. I think i (erroneously) went for the 30 something to 40 something one, when I in fact meant to purchase the one you have suggested. I’ll change it out if it turns out to be too hot.

    Thanks,

    Anthony
    Hi Anton, hope you don't mind me getting in touch, how did you get on with your underfloor heating loop? Does it work well?

    Can I ask whether the pump and mixer valve setup work for you?

    Someone told me I don't need a pump on my underfloor loop, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this?

    Many thanks

    Dan

    Hi Dan,

    We’ve not got around to testing stages yet, but pretty sure it will work well as it’s essentially a house under floor heating system, but with 12v pump. I don’t think it would work too well without a pump on the UHF loop if it’s plumbled with a thermo mixer valve...the water would be stagnant until the valve bleeds more hot water in when required. I’ll let you know when we’ve tested it.

    Cheers
