Jim, I have been inspired by Herbie, T.Low, and you to buy an Astro van. I initially wanted an AWD, but I came across a 2wd with only 90,000 miles for a deal I couldn't pass up. It has a towing packing, so I believe it has the G80 lock in the rear (not 100% sure). I am amazed at how well your van looks and I plan to emulate. My big question is the performance of your 2wd? How does it handle off road? I don't plan on doing anything insane, but would like to make the primitive camping sites safely. I like the fact that gas mileage will be better than the AWD. Any advice you have will be greatly appreciated.
