  • LimaMike I have to hand it to you, I tried a rebuild for about one day and then backed off to regroup. I'm new to the forum looking for ideas and suggestions, saw your post and had to comment. The rebuilt seemed impossible to me! I ended up building a new all aluminum frame to match the shape and size of the tc I had purchased . I ended up using pop rivets. After transferring skin, windows, door, AC and jacks I can still lift one end off the ground by hand. I'm over 60 and no body builder, so I'm guessing the weight to be around 200lbs at this point. The stripped old tc weighed in at the dump at 760lbs. I have to finisih the inside but it will be modest and materials will be light. I can put this on my F150 with no suspension modifications and be less than half my weight capacity. Still can't believe your rebuilding, great job! Tom.
