Recipes? Suggestions?
Contacted Lodge about my broken one. "Durable but not indestructible." So I bought a new one. Now I have a lid for stacking coals on to put my new DO on top of. :)
Not sure if it hit a rock or something when it fell. I will check if they have a warranty of some sorts. Thanks.
It's a Lodge, so not the "cheap"iest variety but still just as annoying. My fault but still annoying nonetheless.
Just dropped my 12" dutch oven and one of the legs broken thru the bottom! And I have a trip in three days!!! Man I hate that!
Yummmmm! Recipe?
Ever tried to raise or lower the rack height with the tent on it? I'd like to mount a rtt like this but lower to the height of the cab if possible while driving. Assuming it would have to be raised...
They have a cool pop top option available too.
thanks!
Thanks. Never thought about partitioning off the oven. Thanks.
Now I need to work on recipes. I always attempt to try some things at home before heading out and never do and never want to risk...
Any suggestions on a smaller oven for one or two people? Seems some like you still want a certain depth to really cook well.
When in campgrounds requiring food to be placed in bear proof lockers, what do you do with your fridge? Is it treated like a fridge in a RV and you can leave it in your vehicle or do you have move it...
I rode a f650gs Dakar for years (predecessor to the 800) and started out with hard luggage. I found myself selling them and went with Andy Strapz soft bags. I was riding more dirt, preferred less...
If the sale falls thru I'm interested.

One challenge with a license plate frame and a worldwide member site is license plates are different sizes. One reason sticker/decals are popular. Not opposed to it but something to consider.
Fantastic! I've been looking for more info on this route. Can't wait for the other sections. Do you have a list of maps you purchased? GPS tracks? Thanks!
:smiley_drive:
Nice way to get some light on your camp. The amber lenses in the bumper lights...are they slip on lenses?
Thanks Yeti. I wasn't realizing it was a pic you found vs your own rig.
Looking forward to getting one.
Yeah. I like the Autohome, box look or not. and it will be easier to store on the roof of my garage. I like the fiberglass shell for not worrying about low lying branches damaging the tent while...
In general I am looking for something that opens/closes easily and I like the minimal cloth. The fiberglass shell appeals to me to mount things like solar panels. And I'm in SoCal so a good...
Jealous of those Autohome tents. Saving for one.
What you sleep ON has some bearing too. A thick standard air mattress can transfer a lot of body heat away from you. Something more like a thermarest or a good barrier between you and the air bed can...
That's kewl!
Thanks. That's kind of why I didn't want to go that route. I am considering putting some kind of sleeved channel above the window, making small awnings that will extend out past the window far enough...
