Is this up near Big Bear? If so, I have seen the same exact thing.
I could never run any of the trails I love with that thing.. Worthless IMO.
Even with 3.5" of lift, an SYE is STRONGLY recommended.
Personally, I think the current design is pretty great....

Why couldn't they just build some simple wooden bridges over the streams? Seems simple enough to me.
