contento,
Sent a PM your way.
I've been on the hunt for the same year truck and motor (for a similar project) for a couple months now, so I just read thru this whole thread again.
I'll have to say this combo turned out pretty...
PM sent. Don't want to pollute this thread.

Yes!
Very interested now that I'm back in a 2nd gen Tacoma.
[QUOTE=Brushbuster;1267563]I would agree that Phoenix is very flexible with the designs but the workmanship is terrible at least on our camper we purchased last december...................:(

Very nice find, and pretty awesome the way it is.....:Wow1:
I wouldn't mess with it too much.

Sale Pending.
Wierd, because my CL account shows the ad as "active"?
All taken care of. Thanks for the tip.
Bump. Still available. :)
Tundra mileage is 89K.
Due to a very recent financial hardship we have decided to sell our truck camper.:(
***Asking price $ 12,000.
Here is a link to the craigslist ad with detailed camper info:...
Ouch is right! The only "unloaded" mpg data I've compiled was on the trip from Seattle to Denver to pick up the camper. This was with a fairly empty truck, including mild supplies, driver and two...
Sounds and looks (very scenic pics) like you guys had a great trip!
I'd be stoked to get that kind of fuel mileage with a camper,
(consdering my average 11-12mpg :smilies27).
Quite impressive!
Looking forward to the completed masterpiece and your personal user review.

That's a great looking rig! Nice job on the rebuild.
I especially like the way the double door option turns into a rear awning.
Welcome to ExPo!
Nice rig choice BTW. That exact truck was my very first consideration when I started thinking this route. Alas, the liquidation of my Tacoma/ATFP combo only got me so far...
I...
Dave, that turned out kick a**!
Multi-dimentionally slick, to say the least!
I really like how everthing was kept as light as possible, and tucked in close with the bumper.
This is one of the...
VERY IMPRESSIVE to say the least! :clapsmile
I'm especially blown away by how clean, organized, and roomy the interior turned out.
That being said, I'm sure that your "shipfitters disease" will...
Spahle,
You may want to inspect your CV boots as well. Some of these 1st Gen Tundras are notorious for leaking a little "or alot" of grease once the angle of the CV joint is changed when lifting...
4yo Phoenix Pop Up in what sounds like xlnt shape for $4k? Sounds like a no brainer to me...
A "basic" shell model is a blank canvas to customize as you see fit. Buy it before someone else does,...

I have an extra door holder set with a 4'' arm. PM if you are interested in it.
Sometimes "free" really is "free". This "extra door holder set" (see pics) just...
x2. You do nice work!
BTW, looks like Fafhrd is sportin' some new "feet" in his shoes?
Welcome to Expo! Nice set up/combo.
I used to have a 2000 Tundra nearly identical to yours, and it was a great rig.
BTW, hows the surf in Ventura today? :sombrero:
