I have to withdraw my recommendation for the Comet SS-680SB. On my latest trip the antenna just...fell apart. There is a joint below the spring that was apparently glued or something, and on a...

There are some first gens that had Aisin transmissions that are quite good. The GM auto tranny in most Troopers is OK if maintained properly, but not many people maintain their transmissions properly.

Especially with the maintenance history known I wouldn't worry about the mileage at all. My Trooper will turn 160K shortly, on the way to Colorado for an exploration of the Rockies. I drive it to...

Stock Chevy wheels won't work because the center bore is too small, but you'll find a lot of Chevy truck guys selling their aftermarket wheels which usually will work. Factory wheels from Toyota and...

Heh, yeah the first gen V6 Troopers weren't any more powerful than the I4 models. But FWIW the V6 models are easy swap candidates for a GM 3.4L, which wakes them up nicely.

I would just suggest the OME Trooper spec shocks, they are longer than stock but not so long your coils will fall out on extreme flex. You CAN go longer though if you want to deal with coil retainers...
